Family pays tribute to 19-year-old Francesca

A MUM has paid tribute to her eldest daughter who died in a road accident in Baguley.

Nineteen-year-old Francesca-Lee Robertson died after suffering serious head injuries in the road crash at 9.25pm on Sunday.

Francesca-Lee, of Dagnall Avenue, was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital but was pronounced dead at 2.35pm the following day.

The teenager was travelling in the front passenger seat of a Fiat Punto when it was in collision with a Ford Mondeo at the junction of Altrincham Road and Butcher Lane.

Francesca-Lee is survived by several brothers and sisters, including Nicole, 17, Amy-Lou, 15, Lewis, 12, Jack, 16, Kate, 12, and nine-year-old Elle.

She also leaves behind her mother, Wendy Gilbert, and father Gerard O’Rielly, who lives with his partner in Ireland.

Mrs Gilbert said: “Francesca-Lee was a very hard worker and loved her holidays. In the last 12 months she visited Amsterdam, Crete and Tenerife with her best friend Kelly.

“She was a member of a gym in Wythenshawe and liked to work out and keep fit. Francesca-Lee loved going out at weekends with Kelly.

“They did everything together and went for lunch together every Sunday and visited different pubs.”

After leaving school, Francesca-Lee went to Loretto College. She worked full-time for Barclays bank in a call centre at Exchange Quay in Salford.

She also worked part-time as a call-taker at her aunty’s private-hire company, Trafford Cars.

Her mother Wendy has recently taken over as licensee of The Q Bar in Stalybridge and Francesca-Lee had been working there to help her mum out at weekends.
